As a Finance & Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in connecting financial performance with day-to-day business operations, helping leadership make informed, data-driven decisions. You will work cross-functionally to analyze business needs, assess resource allocation, identify operational challenges, and recommend practical solutions. Combining financial planning and analysis with operational insights, you will support budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. You will also develop reporting tools, evaluate business performance, and translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. Accountabilities

  • Analyze operational performance, workload, service demand, staffing capacity, costs, and resource requirements to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Investigate root causes of operational challenges and evaluate potential solutions, including staffing adjustments, process improvements, system enhancements, and additional investments.
  • Prepare financial reports, budget-to-actual variance analyses, forecasts, and financial models to support planning and resource allocation.
  • Translate operational assumptions and business activity into financial projections, scenario analyses, and investment recommendations.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into financial and operational performance.
  • Collect, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple sources, investigating discrepancies and ensuring reporting accuracy.
  • Present analytical findings clearly to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders, highlighting key trends, business implications, and recommended actions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy, and strengthen reporting practices.
  • Support the administration of financial and operational systems, including user access management, platform maintenance, and tools such as Ramp.
  • Manage analytical and process improvement projects independently, from initial problem definition through recommendations and implementation support.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, track project progress, manage competing priorities, and proactively communicate challenges and solutions.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, operations analysis, financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a combination of related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze cross-functional business and operational challenges and connect findings to financial outcomes or resource decisions.
  • Strong financial analysis background, including experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to investigate root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical business or operational improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and complex formulas.
  • Experience working with ERP systems or other business platforms and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Experience developing financial or operational reports, monitoring performance indicators, and building dashboards.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently structure, prioritize, and deliver projects without step-by-step supervision.
  • Adaptability and confidence working in an evolving environment with changing priorities, ambiguous challenges, and developing processes.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent practical experience. Relevant professional experience and demonstrated capabilities are valued regardless of academic background.
Preferred Qualifications
