Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to provide business finance support, controllership, and strategic partnership to Site Leaders and regional directors within the Amazon Robotics Sortable operations. You will build financial models, evaluate labor plan assumptions for cost optimization, and deliver recommendations that drive operational improvements.

In this role you will own financial reporting, solve data integrity issues, and collaborate across Safety, Maintenance Engineering, HR, Process

Qualifications

5+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field.
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

Build financial models and evaluate labor plan assumptions to ensure cost-optimal operations, drawing conclusions and making recommendations that drive measurable improvements.
Align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary and providing guidance to Site Leaders during competing priorities or unexpected events.
Own financial reporting for your business area, supervise and coach others on reporting accuracy, and resolve complex data integrity issues by collaborating with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.
Identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, or standardize finance tools and processes across teams and organizations.
Communicate financial data clearly and concisely, both written and verbal, adjusting your style for the audience to articulate complex finance issues to partners across Safety, Maintenance Engineering, Human Resources, Process Engineering, and Sales and Operations Planning.
