Finance Manager - Revenue & ACV Finance team

About The Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 12

The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Finance team includes members in the UK, US, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The Revenue and ACV team is based in London, New York, Charlottesville, Las Vegas, and Manila, collaborating with other divisions and S&P Global Corporate.

The Impact: The role involves ensuring timely and accurate monthly Revenue and ACV reporting and analysis to support management decisions. It includes leading integration with the ACV workstream to automate analyses using technology, enabling the team to focus more on business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead Revenue reporting workstream.
• Ensure review controls and procedures for Revenue reporting are in place.
• Manage monthly close activities related to Revenue journal entries and reporting.
• Coordinate between Revenue, ACV, and COS workstreams.
• Transform workstream processes by leveraging technologies like Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI to reduce manual Excel processes.
• Support business unit reporting needs and develop understanding of critical financial systems.
• Prepare analyses for ad hoc requests and projects, supporting the Finance Director.
• Respond accurately to senior management inquiries.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to aid management decision-making.
• Alert management to reporting or operational issues and suggest solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within a finance department.
• Experience managing revenue contracts and knowledge of subscription revenue models.
• Understanding of SOX controls and process flow.
• Confidence in engaging with C-level executives, problem-solving skills, and analytical ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle ERP, EPM, Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.
• CPA certification preferred.
• High attention to detail, independent work capability, and team collaboration skills.
