Finance Manager - Revenue & ACV Finance team

About The Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 12

The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Finance team includes members in the UK, US, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The Revenue and ACV team is based in London, New York, Charlottesville, Las Vegas, and Manila, collaborating with other divisions and S&P Global Corporate.

The Impact: The role involves ensuring timely and accurate monthly Revenue and ACV reporting and analysis to support management decisions. It includes leading the integration of ACV workstream, leveraging technology to automate analysis, and enabling the team to focus more on business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead Revenue reporting workstream.
• Implement review controls and procedures for Revenue reporting.
• Manage monthly close activities related to Revenue journal entries and reporting.
• Coordinate integration between Revenue, ACV, and COS workstreams.
• Transform work processes using technologies like Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI to reduce manual Excel-based tasks.
• Support business unit reporting and develop understanding of critical financial systems.
• Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and projects, supporting the Finance Director.
• Respond accurately to senior management inquiries.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to inform management decisions.
• Identify reporting or operational issues and propose solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within finance or accounting.
• Experience managing revenue contracts and knowledge of subscription revenue models.
• Understanding of SOX controls and process flow.
• Ability to engage with C-level executives and solve problems effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and financial data interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle ERP, EPM, Salesforce, Tableau/Power BI, Alteryx.
• CPA certification preferred.
• High attention to detail, inquisitive mindset, ability to work independently and in teams.
