LHH, a professional services consulting firm, is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to lead FP&A, project finance, and operational finance initiatives in a fully remote role.

You will partner with operations leadership to forecast revenue, manage WIP, analyze project profitability, and implement automation to improve reporting accuracy. This is a growth-focused opportunity to shape financial strategy in a rapidly expanding firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A, project finance, or finance operations experience.
• Experience in professional services (architecture/engineering/design/consulting) preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling across projects.
• Manage revenue, backlog forecasts, profitability, and identify financial risks.
• Partner with operations to support strategic decisions and resource planning.
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting to improve visibility.
• Support WIP, utilization, margins, and project-level finance.

LHH (Atlanta) is partnering with a rapidly growing professional services consulting company on an exciting search for a Finance Operations Manager! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an Operational Finance, FP&A, or Project Finance background within the Professional Services industry (Architecture, Engineering, Design, Consulting, or similar) to join a company experiencing significant growth and play a key role in driving financial strategy, improving operations, and supporting continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling across projects and business operations.
• Revenue & Profitability: Manage revenue and backlog forecasts, evaluate project profitability, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Business Partnering: Work closely with operational leadership to support strategic decisions, resource planning, and business performance.
• Financial Reporting: Develop KPI dashboards, management reporting, and financial analyses to improve visibility into company performance.
• Project Finance: Support project-level financial management, including work-in-progress (WIP), utilization, margins, and resource allocation.
• Process Improvement: Help streamline financial workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and implement automation where possible.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Project Finance, or Finance/Business Operations.
• Experience in a professional services environment, ideally architecture, engineering, design, or consulting.
• Experience with project-based financial reporting, revenue forecasting, profitability, and utilization metrics.
• Experience with project-based financial reporting, revenue forecasting, profitability, and utilization metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools and financial reporting systems is a plus.
• Experience improving reporting processes through automation, AI, or other technologies is a plus.
• Compensation: Up to $200K base salary + 25% bonus.
