Landing Point, a leading alternative investment manager, is seeking a Finance Manager based in Boston to oversee financial reporting, accounting, and compliance for Private Debt funds.

The role emphasizes preparation of statements, MD&A, and collaboration with Investor Relations. Strong CPA with 5+ years in asset management, including private debt valuation, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience, including public accounting, ideally with an alt investment asset manager.
• Experience with Private Equity/Debt valuation and SEC/BDC reporting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund-level returns, and investor deliverables for Private Debt funds.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations to prepare fundraising materials and respond to investor requests.
• Lead MD&A on fund performance for senior management and coordinate with external auditors.

Company Overview: A leading alternative investment manager is hiring a Finance Manager for its Private Debt division. The role is based in Boston and involves financial reporting, accounting, and compliance for Private Debt funds.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund level returns, and investor deliverables for various Private Debt funds
• Work with the Investor Relations team in preparing fundraising materials and providing information for investor requests
• Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A on fund performance for senior management
• Contribute to the valuation process for debt, equity, and CLO investments
• Review fund administrator’s work on various Private Debt funds
• Administration of assigned funds, including capital calls and distributions
• Work with the Tax team in preparing quarterly tax estimates and year-end tax allocations
• Track and update the portfolio of investments for the various Private Debt funds
• Track interest payment receipts across the portfolio team
• Daily cash management, monitoring, and reconciliation with the bank
• Lead role with the firm’s outside auditor in preparation/review of year-end audited financials
• Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on projects
• Responsible for coaching and developing junior team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with a CPA
• 5+ years of experience, including public accounting, preferably focusing on alternative investment asset managers
• Extensive experience with Private Equity/Debt valuation
• SEC/BDC reporting and CLO experience is a plus
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

Compensation

Salary: $125,000 – $150,000, Plus Bonus
