Job Description Summary

Finance professional supporting C&W Services throughout the United States and Canada and an integral member of finance team. The Finance Manager, Operational Finance serves as a strategic business partner to regional operations, client services, and corporate leadership, providing financial leadership, operational insights, and commercial support to drive profitable growth and operational excellence. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close activities, contract compliance, risk management, and business performance analysis across a regional portfolio. The Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting decision-making through financial transparency, actionable analytics, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to corporate policies, controls, and financial governance standards. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with a collaborative, customer-focused approach and possesses the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights. This individual will work cross-functionally with operations, business development, legal, and corporate finance teams to drive sustainable growth, identify financial risks and opportunities, and support the achievement of business objectives.

Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the region
  • Ensure all reporting and transactional processing requirements for the region are accurate and completed timely
  • Close the books monthly; timely and accurately with risks and opportunities identified
  • Prepare variance analysis and work with client services to ensure that budgets and forecasts are achieved.
  • Support client services with ad hoc financial analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly business review decks including KPIs and various analytical reports
  • Work with client services and corporate finance to identify and minimize financial risks.
  • Work with client services and business development to identify and execute growth opportunities.
  • Coach and educate account client services team on financial related topics and policies / procedures.
  • Work with client services, corporate finance, and legal on contractual matters
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Occasional travel to customer sites to work with site management.

Reporting Structure and Relationships

  • Reports to Sr. Director of Commercial Finance
  • Provides guidance to and oversight of various site administrators across the region
  • Works closely with client service teams and other C&W Services’ teams including, corporate finance, legal and the finance service center.
Experience, Skills and Education
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, Operational Finance, Commercial Finance, or related finance functions.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, facilities services, industrial services, professional services, or other operationally intensive environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business leaders and customers as a finance business partner, providing financial insights that influence operational and strategic decisions.
  • Proven experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close activities, variance analysis, and business performance management.
  • Experience identifying business risks and opportunities and developing action plans to improve financial and operational performance.
Technical Knowledge & Finance Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Budgeting and forecasting processes

    • Contract setup and administration

  • Experience interpreting, structuring, and implementing contractual requirements to minimize risk and ensure compliance with customer agreements.
  • Ability to evaluate financial and operational performance, identify root causes, and develop actionable recommendations to drive improved business outcomes.
Systems & Analytical Skills
  • Experience developing and enhancing financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve transactional efficiencies and leverage ERP systems to drive operational excellence.
  • JD Edwards experience preferred but not required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to create executive-level presentations and business review materials.
  • Experience utilizing financial systems and data visualization tools to support decision-making preferred.

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or a similar discipline will be considered when combined with significant experience in accounting, finance, or operational finance, and/or an advanced degree such as an MBA.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred but not required.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 93,500.00 - $110,000.00
