Job description

Location: Gaithersburg, MD Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in office

Introduction

Are you ready to turn financial insight into smarter access decisions that help patients receive life-changing oncology therapies? In this pivotal role, you'll lead the Gross-To-Net (GTN) agenda for the US Oncology Business Unit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and foresight that directly influence pricing, contracting, and patient access outcomes.

As a strategic partner to Policy, Market Access, Government Pricing, and Contract Strategy, you will shape the financial backbone that supports key commercial initiatives. How will you leverage your GTN expertise and analytical rigor to strengthen decision-making and accelerate impact across the U.S. Commercial Business?

Accountabilities
  • GTN Close and Liability Oversight: Lead the monthly GTN close to deliver accurate accruals and manage liability balances for chargebacks, commercial and government contracts, and all relevant GTN discounts, ensuring integrity of reported results.
  • Contracting Insight and Payer Issue Resolution: Consult with US Contract Operations and Market Access to assess payer issues and contracting changes, translating implications into consistent, defensible liabilities.
  • SOX Compliance: Safeguard a high-risk area by embedding and monitoring Sarbanes-Oxley controls, elevating compliance and reducing financial risk.
  • Deal Modeling and Decision Support: Maintain the conceptual financial framework for deal structuring and build models that quantify cost/benefit trade-offs, including potential competitor responses, to inform sound contracting strategies.
  • Forecasting Leadership: Partner with Franchise Finance, Market Access, and Contract Strategy to create robust rebate and discount forecasts for RBUs (Rolling Business Update) and MTPs (Mid-Term Plan), improving predictability and clarity.
  • GTN Systems Ownership: Own and maintain the cloud-based GTN forecasting system, driving data integrity, timely insights, and scalable reporting.
  • Automation and Process Innovation: Develop and lead process automation solutions using AZ Automation tools (e.g., CoPilot Studio Workflow, CoPilot Agent Builder) and GBS partners to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Reporting and Special Projects: Deliver ad-hoc analyses and lead special projects that translate data into actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Brand and Franchise Planning: Occasionally lead financial and strategic planning for a brand or franchise, driving end-to-end P&L management with a focus on forecast accuracy, disciplined cost management, and effective resource allocation.
  • Commercial–Finance Interface: Act as the strategic bridge between Commercial and Finance, ensuring tools, processes, and insights directly support business needs and decision-making.
  • Planning Journey Simplification: Identify and lead opportunities to simplify financial planning and operational processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the planning lifecycle.
