Job summary

stafffinancialgroup is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Alpharetta, GA manufacturing team. The role partners with plant leadership to oversee cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, driving strategic initiatives including acquisitions and capital investments.

The ideal candidate has strong cost accounting expertise, ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and a track record of turning financial data into actionable decisions to support growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing finance experience (plant cost accountant, controller, or plant finance manager).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting methodologies, inventory management, and product costing.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as finance lead for new operational initiatives, acquisitions, and organic growth projects.
• Own plant conversion costs, including budgeting, forecasting, standard setting, and variance analysis.
• Lead monthly operating and financial reviews with plant and operations leadership.
• Perform detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, operational variances, and standard costing.
• Lead financial reviews of manufacturing KPIs, inventory, and ERP standards.
• Manage cost allocation, cost control, and cost reduction strategies.
• Analyze cost savings initiatives and track financial impact and ROI.
• Provide financial analysis for capital investments, facilities, and equipment projects.
• Support annual inventory audits and recommend process improvements.
• Conduct ad hoc financial and business analysis as needed.
