Geoquest USA, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager - Manufacturing in Franklin, KY. The role combines plant accounting supervision with corporate financial reporting, including monthly closes, P&L analysis, and budget coordination.

You will lead a small accounting team, ensure accurate cost tracking, and report to the CFO with actionable insights. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong Excel/ERP skills, and excellent communication.

Formación

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.

Geoquest USA, Inc. (formerly The Reinforced Earth Company) is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobsfrom sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.

The Finance Manager provides a combined supervisory role to plant accountants as well as accounting services to the plants. Responsible for various daily, weekly, and monthly functions within the organization. These responsibilities include analyzing trends, monthly close support, profit and loss statement preparation, variance reporting/analysis, and providing quantitative and qualitative data. Reports to the CFO.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide Plant Accountants and their associated tasks
• Prepare Daily Scorecard and distribution to executive staff
• Confirm production revenue is received on a weekly basis to projects
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of plant expenses by reviewing vendor invoices and performing monthly reconciliations.
• Analysis of direct and overhead expenses throughout the month in comparison vs budget, forecast, prior month, and prior year.
• Review Inventory accounts and ensure process control
• Perform monthly accounting close, related journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Presentation of monthly manufacturing financial results with CFO
• Lead and guide quarterly budget preparation for manufacturing with team
• Capitalization of Fixed Assets including all related documentation
• Maintain PO process and resolve payment / PO discrepancies with Esker
• Balance sheet reconciliations maintained monthly
• Provide ad-hoc support to management as required.

Education/Experience

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant experience (3-5 years) in construction and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail, takes pride in work output
• Excellent communication skills and strong desire to learn and progress in a financial management environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; especially Excel Spreadsheets
• Experience with ERP solutions such as Oracle

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Responsibilities will be carried out in a traditional office environment under traditional office conditions. Employee will be familiar with and observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels in facilities being managed or coordinated.
• Able to wear personal protective clothing for prolonged periods; Safety helmet with chinstrap, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection and hearing protection (as required).
