Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Finance Manager - Manager Level 2 to lead EAC process, monthly forecasting, and EV reporting for complex programs. This 100% onsite role focuses on budgeting, baseline management, and delivering clear financial insights to program teams and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with extensive experience in finance, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work within a matrix organization;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or program control OR Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or program control
• Experience with MS Office Suite and presenting financial data to leadership
• Experience with Earned Value and financial reports on various contract types
• Experience with U.S. Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards and FAR
• Earned Value proficiency including Earned Value Guidelines and ONE NG System Description

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial forecasting including analysis of awards, sales, operating margin and cash
• Prepare and present financial data to internal and external customers with variance analysis
• Support internal and external compliance audits
• Support pricing, proposal activities and contract negotiations
• Oversee cash management to ensure timely invoices and collections
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Program Management
• Provide direct management for a team of Program Control/Financial analysts

As a Finance Manager - Manager Level 2 located in Chandler, AZ , you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. As a Finance Manager, you will oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimating complete development and various other financial reporting activities. You will oversee the management of Program Earned Value in compliance to IPMR/IPMDAR data reporting requirements. You will also manage baseline efforts and lead efforts for Initial Baseline Review (IBRs) with customers. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Your Role and Impact:

• Lead the EAC process to include earned value analysis, hands-on EAC update revisions
• Manage the monthly financial forecasting process to include analysis and recommendations on awards, sales, operating margin and cash
• Prepare and present financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts
• Support internal and external compliance audits
• Support pricing, proposal activities and contract negotiations
• Oversee cash management to ensure timely invoices and collections
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners including Operations, Engineering and Program Management
• Providing direct management for a team of Program Control/Financial analysts
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or program control- OR - Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or program control
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
• No clearance required to start
• Experience with MS Office Suite
• Experience presenting financial data to leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Earned Value and financial reports on various contract types
• Experience with U.S. Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards and FAR
• Experience with SPFP financial forecasting system and COBRA earned value management system
• Earned Value proficiency including Earned Value Guidelines and ONE NG System Description
• Experience with the development of the Annual Operation Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan
• Aerospace & Defense industry experience
• Active current U.S. Government Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
