Role Summary

Finance Manager, M&A – Corporate Finance Leadership Opportunity in Financial Services.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (18700 N Hayden Rd, Suite 255, Scottsdale, AZ 85255).

Role Type: Full time.

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year + annual bonus. Compensation is determined individually based on location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership to define and refine the firm’s inorganic growth strategy, including target market identification and prioritization.
  • Develop end‑to‑end due diligence workstreams and timelines across financial, operational, legal, and compliance functions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of acquisition models for various transaction types such as full acquisitions, partial equity investments, earn‑outs, and succession‑based transitions.
  • Conduct post‑mortem analysis to assess financial performance against key business metrics and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure clean hand‑off to the finance integration team to ensure smooth transition post‑close.
  • Prepare and deliver high‑impact presentations for executive committee, board of directors, and potential partners.
  • Synthesize complex financial and strategic insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues across business units and departments to foster an effective cross‑functional working environment and collaborative spirit.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or another related field is required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
Basic Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FP&A, finance, or business analysis.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills required.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented work environment.
  • Expert proficiency in the use of business applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial reporting and general ledger application tools is required.
  • Must have acute attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7 or SIE).
  • CPA, CFA or CMA designations.
  • Prior financial services industry experience (wealth management, investment management, broker‑dealer, insurance, banking, specialty finance).
  • Experience with Workday Financials.
