Job summary

Amazon Payments is seeking a Finance Manager to join the FP&A team and provide financial reporting and analytics to help scale the business. You will consolidate P&L across Payments groups, analyze variances, and develop forecasts while surfacing insights through deep-dives and projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and data interpretation of results.
• 6+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating escalation plans.
• 6+ years delivering accurate financial models with measurable impact.

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the Amazon Payments FP&A team. This role will be part of a team providing financial reporting and analytics that will provide our Amazon Payments leadership team with insights to scale and grow the business with a focus on headcount and operating expense management. Responsibilities include reporting and consolidating financials across the different Payments businesses, analyzing P&Ls, developing business forecasts, and surfacing insights through financial deep dives and analysis projects. A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator both written and verbal and effectively collaborate to solve data problems and implement new reporting solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Build, report, and maintain P&L and financial metrics for Amazon Payments
• Drive automated reporting and analysis tools that are scalable to dive deep across different areas of the business
• With controllership as a priority, identify and resolve data integrity issues and drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy
• Participate in short- and long-term financial planning, playing a key role in keeping leadership informed and involved
• Enhance headcount and expense controllership across the Amazon Payments org with an emphasis on centralizing and harmonizing processes

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
