Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the Amazon Payments FP&A team. This role will be part of a team providing financial reporting and analytics that will provide our Amazon Payments leadership team with insights to scale and grow the business with a focus on headcount and operating expense management.

Responsibilities include reporting and consolidating financials across the different Payments businesses, analyzing P&Ls, developing business forecasts, and surfacing insights through financial deep dives and analysis projects. A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator both written and verbal and effectively collaborate to solve data problems and implement new reporting solutions.

• With controllership as a priority, identify and resolve data integrity issues and drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy
• Participate in short- and long-term financial planning, playing a key role in keeping leadership informed and involved
• Enhance headcount and expense controllership across the Amazon Payments org with an emphasis on centralizing and harmonizing processes

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
