Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis to lead the Select forecasting and planning process, including the annual plan and current year projection. You will partner with Product Management to translate strategy into financial outlooks and drive business insights across the organization.

You will prepare financial reports, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations while coaching team members and collaborating with cross functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in finance or accounting or professional designations such as CPA, CMA or comparable advanced professional education.
• Experience with Financial Analysis concepts, principles and processes and accounting practices and principles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Select forecasting and planning process, including the annual plan, CYP and MYP.
• Serve as a finance business partner to Product Management, providing financial insight for initiatives, pricing and growth strategies.
• Prepare, evaluate, and validate financial and operational reports with accuracy.
• Analyze trends and variances in business performance; interact with cross-functional peers.
• Perform data testing and validation; understand data limitations and gaps.
• Synthesize and present exhibits, results, observations, and recommendations to managers and peers.
• Begin to manage complex analyses to support business strategy.
• Review competitor press releases, SEC filings and industry press for insights relevant to departmental strategies.
