Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, College of Fine Arts, seeks a Finance Manager to oversee budgeting, accounting, payroll, and procurement for the Departments of Arts and Entertainment Technologies (AET) and Design (DES). You will partner with department chairs and leadership to align financial operations with strategic goals.

This on-site role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with supervision of 1 staff member and 1–3 student workers and a 40-hour work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with planning, forecasting and financial analysis.
• At least three years of supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to plan, initiate, and complete assignments with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of budgeting, accounting, payroll, and procurement for AET and DES.
• Develop annual operating budgets including endowments and instructional funding.
• Review and approve account requests, travel, purchasing, and reimbursements.
• Supervise staff and student workers; coordinate with department leadership and the Dean's Office.
