Finance Manager, Devices & Services FP&A

Are you ready to partner with passionate finance teams helping Amazon deliver innovative devices and services? The Devices FP&A team partners with business finance teams to deliver products and services like Alexa+ the NexGen Alexa powered by AI, Kuiper expanding satellite internet globally, Zoox autonomous vehicle, consumer products Ring, FireTv, Kindle and Echo; and more! It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion-dollar business and we are looking for a Finance Manager who is passionate about technology and finance, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement scalable solutions.
This role focuses on central FP&A for headcount and opex for Amazon Devices. Success in this role requires ability to partner with and influence a number of key stakeholders. This candidate will be highly analytical, detail oriented, a fast learner, able to work in ambiguity, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational project management skills, modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively using high judgement and prioritization. This role has regular interaction with senior executives, senior business partners, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Key job responsibilities
• You’ll be responsible for delivering monthly/quarterly financial close, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and consolidations with focus on headcount and opex, utilizing financial systems and advanced excel functions.
• You’ll improve finance processes, reporting, scale existing solutions, create new solutions as required based on stakeholder needs and optimize for use of AI in all new processes and reporting.
• You’ll operate as a valued consultant to partner with many different stakeholder teams across Amazon creating effective partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide data driven financial guidance to the business partners.
• You’ll assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enable continued process improvement, data definitions and governance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
