Consultant

This consultant would be a vital link between Academics West community as it relates to all financial aspects. Individual primary responsibilities would be to perform all bank reconciliations, A/R, A/P, and ensuring payroll processing is performed correctly.

Individual would work with our tuition and enrollment program, to ensure students are properly admitted into our enrollment software, communicate with attorney regarding affidavits and sending school records, use our QuickBooks Accounting Software for A/R and A/P reconciliation and engage with our payroll software, ADP. Individual would also liaison with accountant, insurance agents, retirement plan advisors and other vendors as needed. Directives would include ensuring that all data is organized and collected properly for all aspects of the financial life of AW. Individual would work directly with CEO and Co-Founder.

Expectations:

Conduct A/R collections so they are occurring timely

Conduct A/P in a timely fashion

Manage paperwork necessary for new student enrollment for school & other special programming

Maintain Affidavits and other student records for all students created by Admissions

Send out regular communications to parents and families and other stakeholders as needed by Directors

Support families during enrollment within our enrollment software program

Communicate with educational attorneys to provide them with the necessary information to obtain funding.

Update school student contract annually and imported into student enrollment platform (TADS)

Manage the student enrollment platform (TADS)

Ensure that all information is complete and updated in TADs

Ensure Quickbooks is reconciled properly and regularly

Provide Cash Flow Reporting to CEO

Work with accountant to ensure proper recording of accounting

Collaborate with retirement advisors to implement 401k

Work with insurance agent to ensure all insurance is up to date.

Requirements:

Bachelors in Finance or related field

Strong communication & writing skills

Good motivational skills

Exceptional organizational skills

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Understanding of bookkeeping functions

Confidentiality is a priority as it relates to finances, student records

Working knowledge of Office 365 and applications

Value the importance of following work procedures, meeting deadlines

Interest in helping students with learning and emotional challenges

Prior private school experience preferred.
