Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Finance Manager in the United States to lead the accounting team and support operations and clients with sound judgement in applying accounting principles.

You will supervise senior accountants, review financial reports, monitor SOC 1 controls, drive process improvements, and mentor staff to deliver timely, accurate financial information across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Five to seven years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Yardi and Workday software preferred.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Financial reporting for multiple entities preferred.
• Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent delegation, training and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of clients or a strategic client.
• Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders (financial leadership, client team, and operations partners).
• Review team members’ financial reports to ensure quality, timeliness, audit compliance and assess competencies.
• Track team compliance with SOC 1 controls; approve banking or financial transactions, schedules, and reports.
• Monitor account health and other metrics, managing remediation as needed.
• Direct new scope onboarding by coordinating with account leadership and clients.
• Assess team/department workflows and policies to recommend improvements.
• Manage team performance through meetings and timely feedback, maintaining quality results.
• Lead departmental projects and Client Accounting Committees.
• Manage corporate P/L accounting activities including month-end and forecasting.
