Job summary

Andromeda Robotics Operations Pty is seeking a highly analytical Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations, build forecasting models, and modernize the financial tech stack for our US and Australia activities. You will own budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and vendor oversight, partnering with external accountants and leveraging AI tools to automate routine finance tasks.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6+ years in FP&A or corporate finance in hardware/manufacturing with subscription layer.
• Strong financial modeling including inventory cycles, working capital, and blended margins; proficiency with Google Sheets.
• Deep understanding of working capital mechanics and cash flow modeling.
• Experience with post-close analysis, variance tracking, and identifying inefficiencies from accounting data.
• Experience optimizing internal finance tools for expenses, vendor billing, and corporate spend.
• Hands-on with AI tools/LLMs and modern AI-forward financial platforms.
• Basic familiarity with multi-currency books and coordinating with external accounting partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate financial model and update forecasts for revenue, headcount, cash burn, and runway.
• Lead annual and departmental budgeting with team leads to set, track, and adjust spending targets.
• Build scenario tools to stress-test pricing, unit economics, and market expansions.
• Model inventory and supply chain cash flows, tracking MOQs and component costs.
• Analyze BOM, manufacturing variances and gross margins.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and deliver management reports.
• Conduct funds flow and cash bridge analysis to explain variances between net income and bank balances.
• Translate data into dashboards that track business health.
• Streamline finance ops, vendor payments, and upgrade the finance tech stack.
• Implement AI-driven workflows for invoice processing and data extraction.
• Build data pipelines to sync hardware fulfillment with software metrics.
• Coordinate with external accountants for monthly closings.
