Arena Direct Hire has partnered with a growth-oriented SaaS and technology company located in DTLA that is hiring a Finance Manager, Accounting & FP&A.
This role will be in person 5 days a week, in their beautifully designed corporate office with secure parking.
This is a hands-on accounting and finance opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, visibility with leadership, and the chance to help build a stronger finance function as the company scales.
The ideal candidate will come from SaaS, software, technology, subscription-based services, recurring revenue, or a similar business environment. This person should enjoy owning the month-end close, managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting leadership-ready reporting, and improving accounting processes as the business grows.

Role snapshot:

What you will own:
- Own the monthly close process from start to finish.
- Support quarterly and annual close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and reporting support.
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, accruals, reconciliations, billing, collections, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with one other accounting team member to maintain accurate day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support leadership-ready reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning.
- Support SaaS accounting workflows, including ASC 606, recurring revenue, deferred revenue, commissions, and subscription-based accounting activity.
- Use NetSuite for close, reporting, reconciliations, and accounting workflows.
- Improve and document accounting processes as the company scales.
- Help strengthen close discipline, reporting accuracy, and accounting organization without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Partner with leadership on financial visibility, operational support, and scalable accounting processes.
Must-have requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Experience owning or heavily leading the month-end close process.
- SaaS, software, technology, subscription-based, or recurring revenue experience.
- Strong GAAP and financial reporting experience.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition.
- NetSuite experience is required.
- Hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, including GL, AP, AR, accruals, reconciliations, billing, collections, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing monthly financial statements and supporting variance analysis.
- Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and leadership-ready reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a lean environment where the person can both own the details and support broader finance needs.
Nice-to-have requirements:
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Prior hands-on accounting leadership or senior accounting experience.
- Experience with billing, payment, or integrated SaaS financial systems.
- Experience improving close processes, workflows, reporting, and accounting documentation.
- Experience supporting a growing company as accounting and finance processes mature.
- Round 1: Initial interview with finance and accounting leadership
- Round 3: Final executive interview
Compensation: $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and overall fit.
