Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Finance Manager for a San Antonio-based government contracting portfolio. This role focuses on forecasting, financial analysis, cost controls, risk management, and long-range planning in collaboration with program leadership and finance teams.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with U.S. Government contracts, strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in program finance, program controls, FP&A, or government contract finance within the U.S. aerospace and defense industry.
• Experience managing the financial performance of complex U.S. Government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and U.S. Government cost accounting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience supporting contracts with annual revenue exceeding $50 million strongly preferred.
• Experience working across multiple locations, entities, currencies, or international operations preferred.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial performance of large U.S. Government contracts, including EAC development, forecasting, variance analysis, cost controls, and risk and opportunity management.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, capital planning, and long-term strategic financial planning.
• Develop advanced financial models and analyze large, data-intensive financial datasets.
• Support Firm-Fixed-Price, Cost-Reimbursement, and Time-and-Materials contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and government contracting requirements.
• Partner with program leaders and internal accounting and finance stakeholders to improve financial performance.
• Support financial activities across multiple locations, legal entities, currencies, or geographic regions.
• Collaborate with Treasury on foreign bank account administration and foreign exchange hedging, as needed.
• Present financial results, trends, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Our Kforce client located in the San Antonio, TX area is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial performance of large, complex U.S. Government programs. Summary: This highly visible role will lead forecasting, financial analysis, cost controls, risk management, and long-range planning while partnering closely with program leadership, accounting, treasury, and finance teams. The ideal candidate brings deep government contracting experience, strong financial modeling capabilities, and the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
