Nebraska Cancer Specialists is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the accounting department, ensure timely financial reporting, and guide staff performance. The role emphasizes accuracy, audits, and process improvements to support top-level cancer care.

The ideal candidate will bring leadership, healthcare accounting experience, and strong MS Office skills, with a focus on collaboration with vendors and patients. This on-site position offers Monday–Friday hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however experience will be taken into consideration.
• Three years accounts payable experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership to the accounting department.
• Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
• Manage general ledger review and prepare month end entries, allocation and financial reports.
• Assists with annual audits. (401K & Work Comp).
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Researches issues and concerns with minimal supervision.
• Communicates clearly and collaboratively with employees, patients and vendors providing excellent customer service.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
