We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager, reporting to the Associate Director of Finance and Research Administration, plays an integral role within the NYU Langone Health Integrated Support (POD) model. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of finance and post-award professionals supporting the financial management, reporting, planning, and analytics of the research and financial portfolios for assigned academic departments. The Finance Manager ensures the delivery of high-quality financial and research administration support while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and research compliance. This role is instrumental in driving financial stewardship, standardizing processes and best practices, and fostering a collaborative, adaptable and service‑oriented team culture that supports the long‑term growth and evolving needs of the departments and the Integrated Support model. Success in this role requires a strong combination of technical and analytical expertise, leadership capabilities, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities, build strong cross‑functional relationships, and support strategic departmental and institutional initiatives.
To qualify you must have a minimum qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Administration or related field with a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an academic medical center; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of the management of an academic clinical department including the management of a physician group practice. Prior experience with professional or facility billing preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential to interface effectively with diverse internal and external professional groups and committees.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $125,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
