Job Overview

Finance Manager – Buffalo, NY
Salary: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Full‑time, day shift, negligible travel

Responsibilities

• Manage and control trust funds, ensuring accurate and timely remittance to clients.
• Perform all accounting duties related to trust funds, revenue recognition for collection activities, and fees paid to attorneys.
• Prepare client invoices for collection services performed.
• Reconcile bank accounts, collection system records, and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate remittance of "trust funds" to clients and invoicing for debt collection activities.
• Interact with clients and provide "white glove" service to the company’s largest clients.
• Work closely with the Divisional Controller on task assistance.
• Hire, train, cross‑train, develop and appraise staff; take corrective action as necessary and consult with Human Resources.
• Continuously update and maintain process documentation related to all key tasks.
• Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing sound internal controls.
• Maintain 100% confidentiality unless legal requirements apply.
• Provide assistance to other departments and teammates when needed.
• Supervise several trust accountants.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or similar degree.
• 5 years of experience as a senior accountant or business analyst; Order to Cash experience preferred.
