Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an Assistant Director of Finance for Alila Napa Valley in St. Helena, CA. The role partners with the Director of Finance to oversee the hotel’s general ledger, budgeting, reporting and financial controls in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in hospitality
• Experience supervising accounting staff
• Proficiency with Hyatt systems (POS, Oracle, Kronos) is a plus
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to sit at a computer and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising Finance staff and coaching team members
• System administrator for accounting programs
• Oversee on-site accounting functions, monthly financial reporting and analysis
• Financial planning and budgeting in Hyperion
• Account for multiple business units; manage G/L journals and reconciliations
• Handle fixed assets, cost controls, inventories, and tax reporting
• Manage payroll, cash flow, and treasury activities
• Support year-end audit processes and auditor requests
• Contribute to special reporting and analysis projects
