Job summary

Wood is seeking a Finance Lead for the Onshore Projects division in Houston, TX. You will manage the finance and accounting activities for the Onshore Projects, lead a small team, and coordinate with Project Controls and leadership to ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires a CPA/CMA qualification (CA) and 7+ years in full-cycle accounting, with Oracle/EPM experience. A hybrid work model supports client and team needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
• CA/CPA/CMA qualification is a plus
• 7+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• ERP experience, especially Oracle/EPM
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; advanced Excel
• Excellent time-management and written/verbal English communication
• Ability to work with auditors and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Finance focal point for Onshore Projects and lead a small team of accountants
• Lead month-end close, revenue/cost accruals, gross margin analysis, reconciliations, and financial packages
• Review contracts, rates and approvals for proper accounting
• Provide project accounting support during kick-off and monthly reviews
• Collaborate with Project Controls to capture contract requirements and milestones
• Review costs and accruals to maintain project margins
• Assess variation orders and related accounting based on status and likelihood
• Ensure revenue recognition and billing milestones are correctly accounted for
• Maintain visibility of costs, pass-through costs, unbilled amounts, and invoicing
• Lead audits with internal and external teams
