Job summary

Aspire NorCal, part of Aspire Public Schools, seeks a Lead Financial Analyst to guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across Northern California school sites. The role requires deep knowledge of K-12 education finance, strong modeling skills, and leadership of a finance analytics team.

You'll work with Senior Director, Finance and Directors across sites, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic financial planning while supporting regional SLA initiatives and organizational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in K-12 public education, non-profit, or government sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budget and forecast updates for assigned Aspire school sites, and facilitate regular school site budget and forecast update meetings.
• Facilitate regular school and regional site budget and forecast update meetings for assigned Aspire sites.
• Lead the other financial analysts, demonstrating expertise in education finance and the California charter school landscape.
• Train other financial analysts as needed.
• Perform financial analyses, including attendance reporting, interim reporting, year-end preparation, and reclasses.
• Improve workflow and efficiency by designing robust financial models and reporting processes.
• Analyze spending trends across schools to identify best practices and efficiencies.
