Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Accounting professional at the Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans to assist the Director of Finance in directing the hotel’s financial activities and safeguarding assets. You will prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP and HEI Standards, supporting accounting functions, A/R, and cash flow management.

The role requires a B.S. in Accounting, 1 year of hospitality finance experience, and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• One year experience in hotel or hospitality finance and accounting.
• Knowledge of hotel financial statements and reconciliation of A and L accounts.
• Analytical approach with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong administrative and managerial skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
• Proven training, coaching, and counseling abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication; adaptable to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing the financial activities of the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and HEI Standards.
• Manage accounts receivable and cash flow processes.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and asset inventories.
• Schedule and supervise accounting staff and duties.
• Maintain records per governmental retention requirements.
• Prepare and review tax returns and other liabilities.
