Job summary

Concourse is seeking a Lead Finance professional in New York City to build and own the operating model, forecast revenue, and drive strategic decisions with the CEO. You will craft KPI dashboards, investor materials, and scalable financial infrastructure from scratch, becoming the internal finance partner across leadership.

This is an in-person role at our Flatiron office, designed for someone who thrives in an unstructured, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of combined investment banking and private equity experience.
• Elite financial modeling and forecasting skills; you can build a three-statement model, bottoms-up revenue forecast, or KPI dashboard.
• Sharp instincts for the story behind the numbers and action-oriented recommendations.
• AI-native mindset: using tools like Claude to 10x output and build a finance function with AI from day one.
• Ability to operate independently in an unstructured environment; you’ll write the playbook.
• Clear, direct communicator, comfortable presenting to founders/CEO and pushing back when needed.
• Based in NYC + work in-person in Flatiron (5 days/week).

Responsibilities

• Build and own Concourse's operating model: revenue forecasting, unit economics, headcount planning, and scenario analysis across the business.
• Partner with the CEO on strategic decisions by building models that frame options clearly.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and financial reporting for real-time leadership view.
• Lead ad-hoc analyses: benchmarking, build vs. buy, contract economics, investor materials.
• Drive fundraise preparation and investor communications with polished data room and narrative.
• Build financial infrastructure from scratch: processes, templates, reporting cadence scalable with the company.
• Serve as internal finance partner to leadership, interpreting numbers for decision making.
• Use AI tools to scale work: automate reporting and accelerate analysis.

What You'll Do

• Build and own Concourse's operating model: revenue forecasting, unit economics, headcount planning, and scenario analysis across the business

• Partner with the CEO on strategic decisions (new market entry, pricing, capital allocation, and partnership economics) by building the models that frame the options clearly

• Develop and maintain KPIs and financial reporting that give leadership a real-time view of the business: what's working, what's at risk, and where to push harder

• Lead ad-hoc analyses as the business demands: competitive benchmarking, build vs. buy analysis, contract economics, and investor-facing materials

• Drive fundraise preparation and investor communications, bringing a banker's polish to the data room, the model, and the narrative

• Build the financial infrastructure from scratch: the processes, templates, and reporting cadence that will scale with the company

• Serve as the internal finance partner to company leadership, helping them understand what the numbers mean and how to use them

• Use AI tools to scale your work: automating reporting, accelerating analysis, and building leverage a traditional finance team gets from headcount

What We're Looking For

• Sharp instincts for the story behind the numbers. You don't just report metrics, you interpret them and recommend action

• AI-pilled: you already use tools like Claude to 10x your output, you reach for AI before you reach for an analyst, and you want to build a finance function that's AI-native from day one

• Ability to operate independently in an unstructured environment; there's no playbook here, and you'll need to write it

• Clear, direct communicator, comfortable presenting analysis to a founder/CEO and pushing back when the assumptions don't hold

• Based in NYC + work in-person in Flatiron (5 days/week)
