Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an Intern to join our US Controllers Organization within the Finance Division for up to 12 weeks. The program offers exposure to accounting processes and multiple projects to help you assess fit for a future with us.

The intern will assist with balance sheet analysis, journal entries, data extraction from financial systems, and support for tax and treasury functions, while gaining professional development opportunities and networking within the Finance Division.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed support analyses for balance sheet accounts, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports for the Corporate Accounting Group.
• Process miscellaneous check receipts from initial receipt through to journal entry preparation, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Utilize various financial systems to extract and analyze data in support of government reporting requirements.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial and accounting requests as needed.
• Actively participate in the Company’s Intern Program activities and Finance Division events to foster professional development and networking.
• Assist other groups of the Global Controllers Organization, including Consolidations and Accounting Standards.
