Job summary

HNTB Corporation's Houston office is seeking a Finance Intern for our 2027 summer internship program. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis and supporting project teams.

Under close supervision, you will assist with reports, data tracking, and research. Candidates must be enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program and be pursuing a degree in finance or economics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and enrolled in related undergraduate or graduate program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and track results for assigned projects.
• Coordinate program developments and assist teams with meetings and communications.
• Answer phone calls, edit documents, and schedule appointments as needed.
• Analyze data and provide research to management; support special projects.

This opportunity entails, while under close supervision, assist assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic and routine administrative support work and other related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary business curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis. Our Houston Office is seeking a Finance Intern for our 2027 summer internship program. Please note that this is an on- site opportunity, and relocation assistance or housing is not provided.

What You'll Do:

Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments. Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams. Assists management in analyzing various data. Works on special projects and provides research as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
