Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a motivated Finance Intern in Minnesota to join our team during summer 2027. You will work with project teams to support accounting tasks and build foundational finance skills across our construction projects.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in project accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, while collaborating across departments to improve processes and leverage AI for automation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teams during the internship period (summer 2027).
• Assist with core finance and accounting tasks.
• Support development and/or enhancement of analysis, reports, and dashboards for internal customers.
• Provide administrative and analytical support to the broader organization.
• Gain exposure to project profitability reporting & analysis on large scale construction projects.
• Perform analyses to understand general and construction industry financial concepts.
• Partner with finance and business teams to improve processes and leverage AI for automation.
• Support the team with ad hoc requests.
