Commerce Bank in Clayton, MO is offering a paid, full-time investment banking internship designed for motivated students. The summer session runs 11 weeks from May 18, 2027 to July 30, 2027, with Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional travel within Missouri to Board meetings is expected. You will interpret data to analyze trends and help develop financing structures for municipalities, supporting debt analyses and proposals.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 1+ year of related internship or work experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret data to analyze past financial trends and project future debt.
• Develop multi‑million dollar financing structures for General Obligation Bond issues.
• Provide cash flow analyses, new money financings, and refinancing insights.
• Analyze municipalities’ debt structures and prepare financing proposals for public meetings.
• Manage financing documents and maintain organized records.
