Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) invites a Finance Intern to join our team and support the Finance group with analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

You will collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to develop analytical, technical, and business skills from day one. The role emphasizes learning financial systems, preparing financial statements, and contributing to plant- and corporate-level reporting processes while gaining exposure to global manufacturing

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn financial systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
• Analyze expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Assist with monthly financial closes.
• Reconcile key accounts and ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Support statistical analyses and other special projects.
