CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Bismarck, ND invites applications for a Finance Intern to assist the finance team with daily accounting tasks and hands-on experience. The role offers exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Internship pays $17–$20/hour, based on education and experience. Reports to the Controller; no direct reports.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing Accounting/Finance/Business.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior accounting or finance experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and gathering supporting documentation.
• General Accounting: Assist with general accounting activities and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Fixed Assets: Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and supporting related accounting activities.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and analysis.
• Audit Support: Assist with gathering documentation and information for internal and external audits.
• Continuous Improvement: Support Finance projects and assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to support daily financial activities and projects.
• Perform other Finance-related duties as assigned.
