Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Morristown, TN is offering a Finance Intern position working directly with the Plant Controller and Finance Team. You will contribute to cost analysis, budgeting, and financial health of the TN site through hands-on projects and practical experience in corporate accounting.

The internship covers accounts payable oversight, month-end activities, costing, budgeting, year-end support, KPI monitoring, and tactical audits, with exposure to intercompany processes and senior

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program; Finance or Accounting major preferred.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting and computer systems.
• Some prior relevant work experience in a business setting is a plus.
• Part-time availability during the school year and/or full-time during the summer.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Account Payable: manage GR/IR process, PO monitoring, aging PO issues.
• Month End: assist with reconciliations, accruals, reclasses, CapEx tracking; support reporting and leadership presentations.
• Costing: real-time costing requests for strategic decisions.
• Budget Management: update budgets, MLE and SLE files using planning tools.
• Year End: assist intercompany requests and resolve PO issues.
• Key Plant KPIs: monitor AML, SLOB, reconcile weekly variances; prepare task force materials.
• Tactical activities: GR auditing, audit testing, asset tagging, clearing balance sheet items.
