Job summary

NWU in Indianapolis (PulsePoint office) invites students pursuing an Accounting/Finance degree to join a Summer internship. You will support budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, journal data entry, and financial reporting while contributing to special projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Ideal candidates are Excel/Office proficient, able to commit 40 hours weekly May 17, 2027 - July 25, 2027, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork with leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or relevant Business-related major at an accredited college or university.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer internship (May 17, 2027 - July 25, 2027) out of the Indianapolis, IN PulsePoint office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities through academic, extracurricular, professional, or community experiences.
• Interest or experience using AI-enabled tools for analysis, automation, or productivity.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to manipulate large data sets are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Interest in the healthcare industry.
• A graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028 is preferred but not required; all graduation dates will be equally considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, and expense accruals.
• Create and enter financial journal data.
• Compile and prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
