Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA invites a Finance Intern to support the accounting and finance teams within our Hillphoenix Case division. The internship is project-based and will rotate across the Finance organization, with guidance and mentoring from a dedicated manager.

You will work on technical projects in Accounting, FP&A, or Commercial Reporting, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing finance and building professional, cross-functional relationships.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year Finance or Accounting degree program.
• Completion of Junior Year of College by May 2027.
• Fundamental proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting and finance teams at our manufacturing plants for the Hillphoenix Case division.
• Work on project-based internships rotating within the Finance organization.
• Receive coaching, mentoring and direction from your manager.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an Finance Intern to support the accounting and finance teams at our manufacturing plants for our Hillphoenix Case division. Our Finance Internships are project-based internships that will rotate projects within the Finance organization.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

You will be guided by structural goals and objectives and will have a responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. Your manager will offer coaching, mentoring, and direction. You will be assigned to a technical project in one of the following disciplines:

• Accounting
• Financial Planning & Analysis
• Commercial Reporting

What are the basic qualifications?

• Enrollment in 4-year Finance or Accounting degree program
• Completion of Junior Year of College by May 2027
• Candidate must have fundamental proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

What are the preferred qualifications?

• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Analytical and conceptual thinking, using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinking
• Effective research and communication skills
• Problem solving – being able to solve complex problems effectively and efficiently
