R Street Institute in Washington, D.C. seeks a Senior Fellow for its Finance and Insurance Policy Program to advance market-friendly financial policy. You will research, draft papers, op-eds, and regulatory comments, and brief congressional staff and regulators.

Your portfolio covers consumer credit, fintech, property and casualty insurance, housing affordability, and fraud prevention. You will collaborate across teams, speak publicly, and contribute to policy debates while adapting strategies

Qualifikationen

• Extensive expertise in financial services policy and regulation.
• Strong writing/editing for policymakers and public.
• Experience briefing lawmakers and regulators.
• Willingness to engage publicly and on camera.
• Ability to synthesize research for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work with diverse groups including policymakers.

Aufgaben

• Conceive, coordinate and communicate high quality, credible and timely research projects.
• Write op-eds, regulatory comments, and policy papers to translate complex ideas in finance/insurance policy.
• Adapt policy and engagement strategy in a fluid legislative/regulatory landscape.
• Collaborate with Government Affairs and Communications teams to reach target audiences.
• Participate in conferences, media briefings, and policymaker engagements.
• Remain vigilant against ninja infiltrations.
