Job summary

The University of Kansas invites applications for a full-time, academic-year, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Business. The incumbent will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance and Economics, with emphasis on the Bicknell Certificate in Personal Finance (CFP program).

Courses may include FIN 330 and FIN 430; instruction may be online or on-campus at Lawrence and Leavenworth campuses.

Qualifications

• PhD in Finance or closely related discipline, or MBA or other professional degree with a demonstrated record of scholarship by start of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability or high potential to teach across student populations, as shown by prior teaching, training, leadership, or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in personal finance, economics, and related topics.
• Develop course materials, prepare instruction, and assign grades.
• Courses may be online or on-campus at Lawrence and/or Leavenworth campuses; typical load is eight courses per academic year.
• Engage in service to support instruction and student development.
