Job summary

The Lakefront Management Authority seeks a senior financial professional to oversee accounts payable, payroll, and grants management. You will coordinate federal and state grant funding, prepare biweekly and monthly financial reports, and ensure accurate expenditure tracking.

Based in New Orleans, the role reports to the Accountant Manager and offers promotional internal eligibility. Salary will be set based on qualifications and experience. Louisiana SAME program participation noted.

Qualifications

• Six years of accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus three years in accounting-related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus three years in accounting-related fields.
• Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or statistics plus two years in accounting-related fields.
• CPA license plus one year of accounting-related experience.
• Experience substitution: 30 hours earned equals one year of experience, up to 120 hours.

Responsibilities

• Produces biweekly financial reports to the Accounting Manager, including P&L and bank statements.
• Oversees and supervises grants administration.
• Prepares monthly grant reports for Executive Director meetings.
• Manages FEMA fund reimbursement procedures and related documents.
• Extracts data and prepares weekly financial reports for review.
