Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Specialist to provide specialized finance and accounting services to assigned business units, ensuring timely processes and adherence to organizational policies.

The role collaborates with Finance Managers, supports month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and manages financial data across multiple units. This is a hybrid position with in-person attendance at Conshohocken, PA, Arlington, VA, or Elkins, WV offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; 3 years' experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations
• Experience with automated accounting systems such as Workday or ERP platforms

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, account analysis and maintain financial records.
• Support accounts payable, vendor administration, invoice routing and payment processing.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and fiscal year-end close processes and related activities.
• Coordinate information, schedules, approvals and follow-ups to support finance operations and reporting.
• Ensure activities comply with policies, internal controls and audit requirements.
