Job summary

The Finance Specialist at The Nature Conservancy supports the Global Protect Oceans, Lands and Waters (POLW) business unit with advanced finance skills including planning, budgeting, fund allocation, and donor reporting. You will work with program teams, leadership, and Shared Services to ensure compliant, timely financial management and insightful reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of related finance experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis as well as financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting donors, grants, and multi-team financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates multiyear financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and fund allocation for programs.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Performs accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and data maintenance.
• Supports donor and award financial reporting and ensures compliance with donor restrictions.
• Responds to financial inquiries and escalates complex decisions to Finance Managers.
