Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Business Administrator II to perform complex financial and business services, maintain financial records, and prepare financial reports. The role supports monthly reconciliations, policy updates, and cross-functional financial operations within the SOM Finance Centralized unit.

The position includes preparing department budgets, reviewing grant expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grant and time-and-effort reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of the financial reports and other year-end duties.
• Ensures appropriations and operating accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Reviews and updates policies and procedures for functional area.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding financial operations.
• Prepares monthly financial reports for the Department Head and budgets.
