Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a Finance Intern to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting within a leading North American industrial distributor. You will collaborate with finance partners to analyze data, develop financial models, and translate insights into actionable business guidance.

The role provides hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and enterprise systems, supporting monthly and quarterly reports, variance analyses, and strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Expected graduation date in 2027–2028.
• Hands-on experience with SQL through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present data-driven insights.
• Solid understanding of fundamentals in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reports, summaries, and leadership presentations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing data.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models for ad-hoc analysis and projects.
• Partner with finance team to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Query and analyze large datasets using SQL.
