Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to lead the finance function in Phoenix, AZ. You will oversee all financial operations, including FP&A, treasury, tax, and reporting, while guiding systems alignment and long-term strategic planning.

The role requires 20+ years of progressive finance leadership, multi-entity experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration with executive leadership. MBA/CPA preferred; relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Executive finance leadership within construction or project-based industries preferred.
• Experience leading multi-entity or multinational finance functions.
• Proven leadership of accounting, FP&A, treasury, reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of corporate finance, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management.
• Partner with operations to improve profitability and strategic decision-making.
• Oversee treasury operations including liquidity management and debt administration.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, tax obligations, and audits.
• Lead financial support for acquisitions, due diligence, integration planning, and restructuring.
• Provide financial insights to executive leadership via board reporting and analytics.
• Drive modernization of financial systems, ERP optimization, BI, and automation.
• Build partnerships across functions to align financial objectives with execution.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance organization with succession planning.
• Serve as primary liaison with lenders, auditors, and tax advisors.
