Responsibilities

About the Role: We are seeking a technology leader to serve as Director, Financial ERP Systems. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining, executing, and continuously evolving the enterprise financial ERP strategy across multiple regions and business units. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our ERP platform, partnering with regional leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive financial transformation, compliance excellence, and operational efficiency through ERP modernization. You will build and lead a high-performing global team, manage complex multi-country rollout programs, and ensure that our ERP ecosystem serves as a scalable foundation for sustained growth.

  • ERP Strategy & Roadmap – Define and execute a multi-year ERP strategy and technology roadmap aligned with corporate finance strategy and business objectives; evaluate emerging technologies—including AI/ML and Robotic Process Automation (RPA)—to drive financial process automation and operational efficiency; conduct periodic assessments of the ERP landscape to identify optimization opportunities, technical debt reduction, and platform consolidation.
  • Global Implementation & Rollout – Lead end-to-end financial ERP implementation and multi-country rollout programs, managing scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and risk across all workstreams; ensure adherence to template-first, clean-core design principles to maximize standardization and minimize customization; coordinate simultaneous go-lives across regions, aligning with regulatory requirements and business calendars; establish and manage integrated program plans with clear milestones, decision gates, and escalation protocols.
  • Governance & Compliance – Establish and chair governance forums including Steering Committees (SteerCo) and Design Review Boards; ensure compliance with GDPR and regulatory requirements across all operating regions; manage audit readiness, internal controls, and risk mitigation strategies for ERP-related processes; oversee user access management, segregation of duties (SoD), and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) frameworks.
  • Vendor & System Integrator Management – Manage strategic relationships with ERP platform vendors (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and system integrators; lead contract negotiations, SLA definition, and ongoing vendor performance reviews; evaluate, select, and onboard third-party solutions and managed service providers; ensure deliverables from external partners meet scope, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development – Build and lead a high-performing global financial ERP team across multiple regions and time zones; mentor and develop talent through structured career development programs, performance management, and succession planning; drive organizational design aligned with a product-centric operating model supporting agile delivery; manage the optimal balance of onshore, offshore, and contractor resources.
  • Change Management & Adoption – Champion business-led change management and user adoption strategies across all impacted regions and functions; design, deliver, and continuously refine comprehensive training programs and knowledge transfer initiatives; manage stakeholder communications to ensure alignment, transparency, and executive sponsorship; drive post-go-live continuous improvement, benefit realization tracking, and user satisfaction measurement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial ERP systems, including 5+ years in leadership roles with direct team management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-country ERP implementations on SAP S/4HANA and/or Oracle Cloud Fusion platforms.
  • Deep expertise in core ERP modules such as FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Treasury, Revenue Recognition, or equivalent Oracle Financials modules.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global organization with onshore/offshore delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Background in technology, internet, or high-growth global companies operating across diverse regulatory environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of presenting to and influencing executives.
