Job summary

Numeric, based in New York, is looking for a Finance Engineer to shape processes across the finance lifecycle. The role will drive procure-to-pay, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while providing feedback to build Numeric’s products for financial data management.

You will partner with founders and leaders company-wide to operate the business and evolve the tools, enabling better decisions and scalable finance operations.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years in corporate accounting, FP&A, or finance at an early-stage startup.
• Strong accounting craft and ability to design finance processes from first principles.
• Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel; SQL a plus.
• Ability to distill operational complexity into clear insights for stakeholders.
• Willingness to build tools and systems to support the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Build a world-class finance function through Numeric’s products and internal tooling.
• Model day-to-day finance operations: procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, month‑end close.
• Clarify decision making with budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Partner with executives across Engineering, Product, and GTM to inform P&L performance.
