Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking an Employment Specialist II (Finance) to assess clients’ skills and barriers and create clear pathways to employment through hands-on job coaching, resume assistance, interview preparation, on-the-job training, and retention supports.

• Assess clients' skills, barriers and support needs to create a pathway for employment.
• Provide hands-on community-based job skills coaching; resume assistance; interview preparation; on the job training and employment retention services.
• Maintains existing and identifies new employer partnerships to develop job leads and opportunities for career exploration.
• Communicates with program candidates, referring counselors, and other agencies to maintain rapport and coordination.
• Maintains program files in accordance with CARF, AbilityOne, DBHDS, DOL and funding standards and confidentiality.
• Provides required data on persons served entering data timely and accurately.
• Acts as liaison with referral agencies by maintaining communication on candidates' progress, attending service planning meetings and case staffings.
• Maintains caseload to achieve enrollment, placement and billable unit/hours goals per month.
• Completes and reviews service plans, billing information and case notes to reflect progress toward employment goals.
• Advocates for program candidates' needs by providing referrals to community resources for retention and employment.
